SAMAVAYO @ GladeRock
Sunday, 29 March 2009 11:13

SAMAVAYO: The local heroes' greatest success so far was winning the 2008 Coca Cola Soundvave Tour after playing a very convincing finale performance at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate in October 2008. During this year's festival season they want to prove themselves as a live band once again, on the higher level that they have reached. We are looking forward to them stopping by at our festival in August.

VOLCANO confirmed
Thursday, 26 March 2009 10:24

VOLCANO is the rocking little baby of DESTRUCTION drummer Markus "Marc Reign" Reincke. Songs like "Screaming Foetus" or "Dancing with the Thunder" reflect the irrepressible energy and the desire to rock, which is based on Marc Reigns masterly drumming and the impessively powerful voice of lead singer Steven Mogin. Guitarist Nils Rocke and Greg Goldfinger on the bass complete the foursome, whose sound is somewhere between Stoner Rock and Doom Metal, strongly influenced by Danzig and Soundgarden.

SIXXXTEN @ GladeRock
Tuesday, 24 March 2009 20:16

SIXXXTEN have already earned themselves some extra points, simply by the fact that they openly sympathize with Hamburg's best Football Club St. Pauli.  The press release that announced the publication of their first long player in May 2009 promises: "A band that tastes like drinking beer from a can at a gas station,  smells like cold sweat on your bleeding nose, and feels like a Hard Rock logo scribed into your skin. The foursome's influence is mainly punk but their sound is clearly affected by 70ies "Grand Rock" and the 80ies perverted preference for Synthi-Bombast sound as well as Oldschool Rap, turning them into a cultural bastard that is hard to curb. " Guys, we're looking forward to seeing you rock!

SCAR SYMMETRY confirmed
Wednesday, 25 February 2009 15:54

SCAR SYMMETRY have two new singers: Roberth Karlsson (FACEBREAKER, ex-EDGE OF SANITY) for the growling and Lars Palmqvist for the clear vocals and the backing-growls.

The band parted from their original singer Christian Älvestam in September 2008 - the reasons were common musical and personal  misunderstandings.

The Swedes of SCAR SYMMETRY explain the recent hires this way: "When we noticed that it wouldn't work out with Christian any longer, we had two choices: to either quit or take the next logical step for our sound".

Since the first choice was no option, Roberth Karlsson and Lars Palmqvist were hired. Watch the funny
video of their audition here.

This step can be expected to be a big one in their career ... During the summer of 2009, SCAR SYMMETRY want to prove live that the line-up change is a change for the better.
